I created Simply Happenings to share recipes with families that help simplify appetizers, cooking dinner, and baking cupcakes. (Because cupcakes are everything.)
After going strong with Simply Happenings, I decided to branch out and create a site just for air fryer recipes called Dinner at Tiffany’s.
I never post a recipe that has not been tested, retested, and perfected before being placed on the site.
They’ve also been taste-tested by my family who give me their instant reviews so that they are delicious by the time the final recipes are written and photographed.
A Little About Me
I previously worked as a graphic designer and dabbled in photography. It had always been a dream of mine to photograph food or become a food stylist for a magazine.
After working as a graphic designer and editing photos for a local newspaper for several years, I lost my passion and didn’t have the drive anymore.
Instead, I went to nursing school and began working as a registered nurse for several years. My work was primarily in psychiatric and behavioral health, but I also dabbled in the OR and women’s health.
During this time I also had two sons and as a family, we decided it was best for me to be a stay-at-home mom with them after one of our sons was diagnosed with autism and needed therapy appointments throughout most of the week.
It was then I decided to complicate my stay-at-home mom jam-packed day.
I love being home with my boys, but I also wanted to break up the day-to-day routine of tasks and earn an income.
Who knew I would find my dream job while working at home?
I dusted off my digital camera, dug out my recipe cards, and began cooking and baking.
I snapped photos as I went and this created my food blog.
So here I am, dipping back into design, photography, cooking, baking, and sharing recipes my family enjoys — hopefully, others too!
