This air fryer ham recipe is made with a dijon mustard, honey, pineapple juice, and brown sugar glaze. It’s then air fried with honey caramelized edges.

This recipe shows you how to air fry a 3-4 pound pre-cooked boneless ham. The majority of the hams you find in the grocery store are pre-cooked hams that also went through a curing or smoking process.
A 3-4 pound ham will fit inside most air fryer baskets, but if you have a smaller air fryer be aware that one of this size may not fit, especially depending on the shape or cut of the ham.
Ingredients & Items Needed for Air Fryer Honey Glazed Ham
- Pre-Cooked Boneless Ham
- Honey
- Pineapple Juice
- Brown Sugar
- Dijon Mustard
- Aluminum Foil
Servings
A 3-4 pound boneless ham will feed approximately 6-8 servings, sliced about ¼″ thick. This also comes out to ¼ – ⅓ lb. per serving of boneless ham.
It feeds a smaller family or smaller crowd for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or Easter holiday meals.
I personally like making one for my family of four and having leftovers the next several days since there are so many things you can make out of ham. At the end of this post, I list several different ways to use leftover ham.
How to Make Air Fryer Honey Ham
- Make the honey glaze by adding honey, pineapple juice, brown sugar, and dijon mustard to a microwave-safe bowl and whisking together. Cook for 1 ½ to 2 minutes until brown sugar is dissolved and the mixture begins to simmer, stirring every 30 seconds.
- Line the air fryer basket with aluminum foil to prevent the honey glaze from leaking as it cooks so it stays moist. This will also prevent the outter edges of the ham from burning as it cooks.
- Place the ham inside the foil and brush in with ⅓ of the honey glaze. Wrap the ham with the foil already in the basket and cover the top of the ham with a layer of foil that can be removed later for glazing.
- Set the temperature to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and the timer to 25 minutes. Once the timer is done, carefully remove the top layer of foil and brush the ham with another ⅓ of honey glaze. Place the foil back on top and cook an additional 20-25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 140 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Remove the top layer of foil and discard. Brush with the remaining honey glaze on top and cook for 6-8 minutes more to caramelize the top of the ham.
Internal Temperature
In the US, a pre-cooked ham, like in this recipe, has already been cooked to food safety regulations then vacuum-sealed. They are actually safe to eat cold right out of the package, however, most of us like our ham warm.
According to the USDA, a pre-cooked ham packaged in USDA-inspected plants should reach 140 degrees Fahrenheit and all others should be cooked to an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
Recommended Side Dishes
I love cheesy potatoes and green beans with ham. It’s such a wonderful flavor combination and something we love serving together, especially for a holiday ham.
If you’re looking for something with very little prep to throw together in your pressure cooker, try Instant Pot Garlic Mashed Potatoes. You don’t have to peel the potatoes and there’s no draining of any liquid after they’re done cooking!
Recipes for Leftover Ham
Typically when we see ham sliders we think of thinly sliced deli ham, but a thicker ¼″ slice of ham is also just as delicious for a heartier bite, plus they’re topped with garlic butter! Another sandwich option is dicing it very small into ham salad sandwiches.
Another delicious leftover ham recipe is cheesy ham and potatoes. Dice the ham and throw it into this cheesy casserole dish!
Ham makes for delicious dinner recipes, but it’s also wonderful in breakfast items like eggs benedict and ham and cheese french toast roll-ups. Both allow you to use up slices of leftover ham.
