    Crispy air fryer loaded mashed potato wontons filled with creamy mashed potatoes, bacon bits, cheddar cheese, and then air fried in a crispy wonton wrapper.

    Air Fryer Loaded Mashed Potato Wontons

    Ingredients for Air Fryer Loaded Mashed Potato Wontons

    • Wonton Wrappers
    • Mashed Potatoes (Approximately 3-4 medium potatoes to make 2 cups mashed)
    • Sour Cream
    • Cooked Bacon or Bacon Bits
    • Cheddar Cheese
    • Chives
    • Salt
    • Black Pepper
    • Canola Oil or Vegetable Oil
    • Green Onion

    How to Make Air Fryer Loaded Mashed Potato Wontons

    • Begin by mixing together mashed potatoes, sour cream, crumbled bacon, cheddar cheese, chives, salt, and black pepper.
    Place mashed potato mixture on each wonton
    • Place approximately 1 teaspoon of potato mixture onto the center of a wonton wrapper.
    Moisten the edges with water
    • Moisten the edges of the wrapper with water.
    Fold one corner of the wonton to the opposite corner to form a triangle and press the edges to stick together
    • Place one corner to meet the opposite corner by folding over into a triangle. Press the edges together to close the wrapper.
    • Freeze the wontons for 1 hour.
    • Preheat the air fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes.
    • Remove the wontons from the freezer and brush the wrappers with oil.
    • Spray the bottom of the air fryer basket with oil.

    • Place the wontons in the basket and cook them at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes, flipping halfway. Cook them until they are golden brown.

    Want to pan-fry them instead?

    • Add 1″ of vegetable or canola oil to a large pan. Skip brushing the wontons with oil.
    • Add wontons to the oil and cook for 2-3 minutes until crispy and golden.

    Ingredients

    • 32 Wonton Wrappers
    • 2 cups Mashed Potatoes, Approximately 3-4 medium potatoes to make 2 cups mashed
    • 2 tablespoon Sour Cream
    • 2 Slices of Cooked Bacon, Crumbled or Bacon Bits
    • ½ cup Cheddar Cheese
    • 1 teaspoon Chopped Chives
    • 1 teaspoon Salt
    • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
    • Canola Oil or Vegetable Oil
    • Green Onion

    Instructions
     

    • Blend mashed potatoes with sour cream, crumbled bacon, cheese, chives, salt, and black pepper.
    • Place approximately 1 teaspoon of mixture onto a wonton wrapper. Fill a small bowl with lukewarm water. Moisten the edges of the wonton wrapper by dipping your finger in the water and running it along the edges of the wrapper. Try to get as close to the edge as possible.
    • Fold one corner of the wrapper to the opposite corner to form a triangle. Press all the edges together, being careful not to tear the wrapper. Repeat this step until all wrappers are filled. Place in the freezer for 1 hour.
    • Preheat air fryer to 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 10 minutes. Remove wontons from the freezer. Brush each wrapper with canola or vegetable oil. Once preheated, spray the basket with oil and place wontons inside. Cook for 10 minutes, flipping halfway until they are golden on both sides.
