    Air Fryer Toasted Ravioli

Ingredients for Air Fryer Toasted Ravioli

    • Cheese-Stuffed Ravioli
    • Panko Breadcrumbs
    • Olive Oil
    • All-Purpose Flour
    • Large Egg
    • Garlic Powder
    • Oregano
    • Salt
    • Black Pepper
    • Oil sprayer filled with canola or olive oil

Does an air fryer use oil?

Depending on the recipe, yes, you may need it. But not in the way a deep fat fryer does.

For instance, breaded foods still need an oil or fat to moisten the breadcrumbs and crisp them up.

How to Use an Air Fryer Banner

How do you do it then?

    There are two ways:

    1. Mix ¾ cups breadcrumbs or panko with 2 tablespoons butter or oil. Heat it in the microwave for 1-2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until lightly golden brown then coat food.

And that’s it for that option. It’s built in oil to help get crispy.

    2. Using a non-aerosol oil spray bottle, mist the breaded food with oil and the air fryer basket to prevent sticking. Also, spray the food with oil when turning over during cooking.

How to Air Fry Toasted Ravioli

In this recipe I followed step 1 listed above for adding oil to the recipe.

In a microwave-safe dish, combine oil and panko breadcrumbs. Microwave for 1-2 minutes until lightly golden brown, stirring every 30 seconds.

In another bowl, combine egg, flour, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Begin coating each ravioli with egg mixture, shaking off any excess.

Coat each ravioli with panko breadcrumbs and shake to remove any excess. Spray air fryer basket with oil and add a single layer of ravioli.

Air fry at 375 degrees Fahrenheit for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway. Spray with additional oil when flipping halfway.
