    Easy Dessert Party Cheese Balls

Cream cheese cheese balls are no stranger to parties. Typically we see the savory versions of party cheese balls. Which is another recipe I’ve made with 4 party cheese balls.

No-bake dessert cheese balls are making an entrance with all kinds of flavors because they’re really easy to put together.

Oreo balls with cream cheese are one of the most popular, but I’ve also included birthday cake, chocolate chip cookie dough, and s’mores because they’re some of my favorite desserts.

These are not the full-size cheese balls made with two 8-ounce bricks of cream cheese. These are smaller and half the size, but are still decently proportioned. They’re great for birthday or holiday parties where guests can enjoy trying different sweet flavors!

How to Make Birthday Cake Cheese Balls

    Birthday Cake Cheese Ball

Note: This cheese ball is made with Funfetti cake mix. Consumption of dry cake mix itself poses a food poisoning risk so it has to be heated through to kill any bacteria. It is recommended that all uncooked dry cake mixes reach a temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit prior to consumption.

Funfetti Cake Mix in a bowl with thermometer reaching over 165 degrees Fahreneheit
    • Heat Funfetti dry cake mix in a small bowl for approximately 90 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds until it reaches a temperature of 160 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s okay if it goes a little higher than that.
    • In a large bowl or mixer, add all ingredients and mix well. I found it easiest to use a mixer for all of the cheese balls.
    • Lay plastic wrap flat on a clean surface and scoop the mixture onto the center. Wrap it into the shape of a ball and chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
    • Remove the cheese ball from the refrigerator and unwrap.
    • Add sprinkles to a bowl and rotate the cheese ball in the sprinkles to coat.

How to Make Oreo Cheese Balls

    Oreo Cheese Ball
    • Add Oreos to a zip lock baggie and crush with a mallet. Add cookie crumbs and all other ingredients to a mixing bowl and blend well.
    • Place plastic wrap on a flat surface and spoon the mixture onto the center. Wrap into the shape of a ball and chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
    • After 2 hours, remove from the refrigerator and discard plastic wrap. Add crushed Oreo crumbs to a bowl and coat the cheese ball.

How to Make Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheese Balls

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Cheese Ball
    • Add all ingredients to a mixing bowl and blend well. Spoon mixture onto plastic wrap.
    • Wrap into the shape of a ball and chill for 2 hours. Coat in with mini chocolate chips.

How to Make S’mores Cheese Ball

    S'mores Cheese Ball
    • Add confectioners’ sugar, marshmallow cream, vanilla extract, and ¼ of the mini chocolate chips to a bowl and mix well.
    • Place plastic wrap on a flat surface and spoon the mixture into the center. Wrap mixture with plastic wrap and shape into a ball.
    • Refrigerate for 2 hours. Remove from the refrigerator and discard plastic wrap.
    • In a bowl, mix together the mini chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, and crushed graham crackers. Add the cheese ball to the bowl and carefully rotate it to coat the outside.

Tip: For the marshmallow coating, I was unable to find the tiny pencil eraser-sized marshmallows that come with hot cocoa packets. Typically they can be found by the hot cocoa at the grocery, but I was unable to find them. Instead, I used mini marshmallows and cut each piece into 4 equal pieces.
