    This is an eggless Valentine’s Day cookie recipe with heart-shaped eggless butter cookies topped with pink buttercream frosting. They’re the perfect treat for your Valentine!

    Eggless Valentine's Day Cookies

    This is a recipe for eggless cookies to celebrate Valentine’s Day. It’s a butter cookie that’s been rolled out and cut into heart shapes.

    Then they’re topped with pink buttercream frosting and sprinkles.

    They were gone in no time at our house so I assure you they’ll be gone quickly with whomever you share them with!

    Ingredients for Eggless Valentine’s Day Cookies

    Eggless Valentine’s Day Cookies

    • Butter
    • Granulated Sugar
    • Pure Vanilla Extract
    • Sour Cream
    • All-Purpose Flour
    • Baking Powder
    • Salt

    Buttercream Frosting

    • Confectioners’ Sugar
    • Milk
    • Pure Vanilla Extract
    • Butter
    • Food Coloring or Icing Gel

    How to Make Eggless Valentine’s Day Cookies

    • Begin making the cookies by creaming the sugar and butter together in a stand mixer or a large bowl with a hand mixer.
    • Once it’s fluffy, add vanilla and sour cream. Sift the flour, salt, and baking powder together then slowly add to the mixing bowl.
    • Lay out a piece of plastic wrap and place the dough in the center. Wrap it in plastic wrap, and chill the dough in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
    • Once the dough is chilled, preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, and remove the dough from the plastic wrap.
    • Roll the dough out ¼″ thick on a lightly floured surface. Cut shapes with cooker cutters.

    • Keep rolling out the dough until it is all cut into shapes.
    • Place cut shapes onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.

    • Bake for 9-10 minutes until the bottoms are lightly golden brown.

    • Make the buttercream frosting in a stand mixer or a large bowl with a hand mixer. Add butter, vanilla, and 2 tablespoons of milk.
    • Slowly add in confectioners’ sugar. If it is too dry or thick, add another tablespoon of milk.
    • Add in 2-3 drops of food coloring or icing gel. Frost cookies once they have fully cooled.

    Ingredients

    Valentine’s Day Eggless Cookies

    • 1 cup Butter
    • ½ cup Granulated Sugar
    • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
    • 2 tbsp Sour Cream
    • 3 cups All-Purpose Flour
    • 1 tsp Baking Powder
    • ¼ tsp Salt

    Buttercream Frosting

    • 3 cups Confectioners’ Sugar
    • 3-4 tbsp Milk
    • 1 tsp Pure Vanilla Extract
    • ½ cup Butter
    • 2-3 drops Food Coloring or Icing Gel

    Instructions
     

    • Valentine’s Day Cookies
    • In a stand mixer or large bowl with a hand mixer, cream together butter and sugar. Add sour cream and vanilla. Slowly add sifted flour, salt, and baking powder and blend well.
    • Wrap cookie dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 1 hour.
    • Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to ¼" thick. Use cookie cutters to make cut shapes and place onto a parchment-lined baking sheet.
    • Bake for 9-10 minutes until lightly brown on the bottoms. Allow cookies to cool on a drying rack.
    • Buttercream Frosting
    • In the mixing bowl or in a large bowl with a hand mixer, add butter, vanilla, and 2 tablespoons of the milk. Slowly begin adding confectioners’ sugar. Add another tablespoon of milk if too thick or dry. Add 2-3 drops of food coloring or icing gel. Frost cookies once they have fully cooled.
