Tasty air fryer french fries seasoned with garlic powder, smoked paprika, and sprinkled with Parmesan and freshly cut parsley.
I love elevating something as simple as french fries. Add in some spices, sprinkle with Parmesan and chopped parsley and it looks like it came from a restaurant!
The best part is making these french fries with very little oil and they are still golden and crispy!

Cooking French Fries in the Air Fryer
I love my air fryer. There’s no preheating required and a LOT less oil than a deep fryer so food does not come out nearly as saturated with grease.
If you ever need to make your air fryer basket nonstick, do NOT use an aerosol spray like Pam as this can ruin the finish on your basket. It’s best to use a spray bottle of olive oil (or your choice of oil) or rub coconut oil directly into the basket.
The cooking temperature I used is 380 degrees Fahrenheit and I cooked them for 12-15 minutes (depending on the thickness) and tossed them around halfway through baking to make sure they all cooked evenly.
I did not place the french fries in a single layer like most air fryer recipes require because I wanted to see if they would still cook evenly. They cooked in a thin layer (about 1/4 of the basket high) and turned out nice and crispy!
